Greek police save suicidal Australian.ΕΛ.ΑΣ σωζει Αυστραλό

The Hellenic Police managed - at the very last minute - to save the life of a young Australian man who was planning to commit suicide.according to to Neos Kosmow Newspaper,The young Australian was talking with a Greek friend via Skype, when he expressed his intentions to end his life because of personal problems he was facing.
A case of suicide intent was reported to the Greek police operation by the Cyber Crime Unit.
According to Greek media reports, an immediate mobilisation of the Cyber Crime Unit, in collaboration with the Skype Company, followed the phone call of a Greek citizen.
The Skype Company was able to digitally identify electronic footprints of a young man with suicidal intentions, from a foreign country, which happened to be Australia.
Australian Police authorities, who were informed on the case through the International Police Organization (INTERPOL), detected the young Australian man and prevented the suicide from occurring. The local Australian police authorities took the man to hospital where he was provided first aid and the necessary psychological support.
The Australian authorities sent a message of thanks to the Hellenic Police through INTERPOL, for direct actions of their Cyber Crime Unit, which led to a successful outcome.
